A happy rabbit sits on a grassy hill in front of a rainbow, right under a big capital R and a lowercase r. The rainbow has four stripes and ends in a cloud on each side, and a flower with five round petals grows on each side of the rabbit. This letter R coloring page is easy for ages 3 to 6, with one large animal in the center and a few small parts around it.

How this coloring page was created

For this page, we typed this idea into Colorin AI: "the capital letter R and the lowercase letter r side by side, drawn large as hollow outlined letters ready to color across the top half of the page, with a rabbit and a rainbow below them". In the drawing, the rabbit sits in front of the rainbow, and its long ears reach up across the stripes.

How to use it

During R week, a preschool teacher can say rabbit and rainbow with the class and ask the children to point to the capital R and then the small r. A speech therapist working on the R sound can ask a child to name both pictures before coloring them. The four rainbow stripes give a simple order to follow, one color per stripe from the outside in.
