The price per page does not drop as the book gets longer, so a 60 page book costs a shade under double a 30 page one. The reason it falls short of double is that first drawing: you pay for it once whether the book has 30 pages or 60.
Those are monthly prices. Paid a year at a time the entry plan is $11.99 a month and the same book works out at $4.46. The cover is the other cost the table does not show: covers are counted on their own, so designing one and changing your mind does not touch the pages left for the book.

Read it by what you are actually going to make, not by the per page price. So if you are printing anyway, a longer book is better value on the printing side even though the pages themselves cost the same each.

- The print run itself, if you go through a service other than KDP. Every print on demand company prices it differently.
- Paper and ink, if you print at home. This is where a poorly chosen style gets expensive, because soft gray shading uses far more ink than clean outlines.
- Shipping, if it is a gift going somewhere.
- Anything you add outside the tool, like a hand written first page.

Only what you drew is spent. The page descriptions you wrote and did not draw cost nothing, and they are still there when you come back to them, so a book left at page fifteen is a book that cost you fifteen pages and can be finished whenever you want.
